Hi I'm Michele

I am a wife, a mom, a grandmother and I love fiber arts, gardening and being outside.

About Me

I love learning new things. While not formally educated I have taken classes all my married life. I love fiber arts, diy projects, gardening( I have been a Master Gardener), camping, biking, traveling. I have worked to live with and take advantage of the quirks that come from having ADD. More than anything I love my family, learning of Jesus Christ and doing all that I can to have an eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I received a firm and unshakeable knowledge that the United States was prepared for the Restoration of the gospel. Joseph Smith, born in Vermont, saw God the Eternal Father and Jesus Christ in the woods near Palmyra. I have been there and have had this truth confirmed in my soul as well. I have gone from a young mother unsure of her self worth to knowing that I am a beloved Daughter of God, known personally by a Heavenly Father who is real. Life is a joy to live with this knowledge and comfort.

How I live my faith

For over 20 years I have spent one week each summer camping with 50 or more teenage girls, watching them become confident young women who recognize their divine heritage. I have taught early morning seminary (religion class for teens) and am currently teaching Gospel Doctrine (adult Sunday School). Each new responsibility teaches me of my need to rely on the Lord while discovering talents given to me by Him. Daily scripture study and prayer are the framework that keep me going. The potential for having an eternal family unit motivates me on a daily basis to seek divine guidance for living my life.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Michele
Living in rural Vermont where we don't have too much light pollution, I get to see some fabulous displays of stars and the Milky Way. Shooting stars are one of my favorites. Less often seen but still spectacular is the Aurora Borealis. More than anything the miracle of birth reminds me that life is no accident. A baby comes with such an assurance of having been recently in the presence of Divine reality. Their complete innocence and purity speak of a wisdom and creation that is no accidental happening.
