Hi I'm Miranda

I grew up in Houston, Texas. I love to backpack and camp in the woods. I'm a recent convert to the church. But now I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated high school go to Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. I'm studying Nursing. Hiking, backpacking, and camping are some of my favorite hobbies. I try to hike a mountain every week in college. For the past few years, I've had the opportunity to work at Philmont Boy Scout camp in New Mexico, and backpack for a few weeks. These experiences have allowed me to open my eyes and see the true beauty of nature.

Why I am a Mormon

My best friend in freshman year of high school invited me to a youth event called trek. Trek is a youth conference where everyone dresses up as pioneers and pulls handcarts for three days. I went because I loved hiking but from trek I gained many new friends. Because of the friends I made, I attended lots of church activities. Eventually a friend invited me to church and to start taking missionary lessons. I was baptized when I turned 18, four years after Trek. I waited because wanted my family to know that baptism was my decision not my friends. My baptism was amazing. I had never felt the spirit so strongly before. I am a Mormon because I know the church is true, the Book of Mormon will change your life, and that the holy ghost really does speak to me.

How I live my faith

I'm now currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in the Hungary Budapest Mission. I have the opportunity to learn Hungarian and help others come unto Christ in Hungary. I love it!
