Hi I'm Alicia Buring

I am Australian, born and raised. I am a Sister Missionary, serving the Lord in Fiji for 18 months! I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am 19 years old, I love music! Playing it and listening. I am pretty spontaneous, I am up for doing anything that works! I have 2 older brothers and 3 step sisters who I love with all my heart! I am a volunteer fire fighter and have been since I was 13, although I was only in cadets when I joined. I became an official fire fighter at 16 and have been to many different incidents! I love doing what I do! I am now a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints and am serving for 18 months in the wonderful country of Fiji!! When I get back from my mission I am hoping to become a seasonal fire fighter and work in that industry! Hopefully I get married and have a wonderful family and enjoy life as it comes :)

Why I am a Mormon

My mum was a convert to the church and so when I was born, I was born in to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Unfortunately my two older brothers and my Dad fell away from the gospel and my parents divorced. It was a hard time but Mum and I still went to church and when I turned 8, I was then baptised! Ever since then I have continued to grow and learn more about the Gospel and the teachings of Jesus Christ. I continue to follow my Saviors gospel because I believe in all His teachings, I want to become more Christ like and hopefully one day return to live with Him and my Heavenly Father again! I enjoy attending church and attending church activities, especially church programs such as Institute, where we learn more about the teachings and history of the Gospel. I love my Savior and know that He is always here for me! He is always there for everyone! I know He loves me and loves us all :)

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday for morning services and have a calling in my Ward as a Ward Missionary, which entitles me to as it says, be a missionary in my Ward. I help plan Ward activities, I go and teach with the missionaries on occasion, I attend meetings with the Missionaries and try to help those visiting our Church and Ward feel welcome and at home :)
