Hi I'm Esteban French

I grew up in Yuba City, California. I am currently a missionary for the LDS Church in Mexico, Puebla South Mission. I am a Mormon

About Me

I love football and have played for 8 years. I spend a lot of time at the gym. I love fitness and body development. I am serving a full time mission in Mexico. I plan on joining the US Marines after my mission and college. My mom is from Colombia, South America. California born and raised. I love to write.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel. Even though I was born a member, I was not always converted to the gospel. There was a time in my life when I wanted a different path. I started doing things I knew were wrong, hanging out with the wrong people, and brought others down with me. After a while of going down this road, I had this haunting spirit hanging around me. I was causing myself grief and depression. The "fun" I was having was destroying the person I was and was causing problems and pain for myself and for the ones I cared about most. I didn't want to go on a mission. I didn't want to be a member until this realization finally hit. I thought I was too far down the wrong path to turn back and repent. Then one year, my parents made me go to a week long church camp for youth called EFY. while I was there we had scripture study time which I ignored. But after spending a couple days with people who loved God, the gospel, and each other, and seeing their ultimate joy they had from the blessings of the church, I realized what I had been missing and why I felt so dark and depressed while going down this dark path. I wanted that joy that my spirit had earned for so earnestly. so I held my scriptures in my hands and thought I was too ashamed to read them. so I prayed to my Father in Heaven with all my heart for God to please forgive me for what I have done and for a chance to feel the love of his son, Jesus Christ. Just then, my scriptures opened to a verse in the Bible that gave me my answer. Philemon chapter 1 verse 3 said, "Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." At that moment I knew that my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ had forgiven me and given me a chance to be the best I can be. That simple act of mercy has changed me, along with other miracles in my life, and now I am proud to say that I have joy in my life and I am on a better path. I am about to serve my Church on a mission and I could not possibly be any happier.

How I live my faith

I am leaving for a full time mission to Mexico. I served as a leader in my young men group and as a home teacher. I volunteered to prepare and give lessons to the youth in my church, as well as the adults, due to my love of the gospel and love of teaching. through young men activities, scouting activities, and volunteer, I serve the members of my church and the community with mainly physical labor or just simply visiting someone who needs the visit.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Esteban French
Yes a husband and wife can be together forever with their families. They are sealed together in the temple so that, even after death in the next life, families can maintain their love and unity and spend eternity with each other. Show more Show less
