Hi I'm Ana Monica Archila

I grew up in Guatemala. I work as a Human Resources Director for a Landscaping Design company in Las Vegas. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a mother of three amazing kids, grandmother of two beautiful grandkids. After a devastating divorce almost four years ago, I moved to Utah where my faith was tested to the limit. However it is amazing how all these trials and challenges have made my testimony stronger, I'm so grateful for the knowledge that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and takes care of us, I'm so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement, because thanks to them I survived during hard times, and I'm here grateful for my trials. Be a mormon does not mean be perfect, it means be strong enough every day and endure to the end. I enjoyed every Sunday attend to Church, and serve in my calling with all my heart and soul, teach the Gospel to the little ones, and share my testimony with others, it is clear for me how we live without the Gospel, and how our lives can change accepting the Plan of Our Heavenly Father, having the true Gospel is an open door to prepare ourselves to return to our Eternal Home. I'm so grateful for the two missionaries who knocked my door on November 2004, after that day my life has been blessed, the decision to listen the Missionaries and accept the Gospel, it was not easy for me, learn how to pray and ask for an answer it was a process, that brought joy and peace to my life, now I know without doubt that Joseph Smith is the Prophet of The Restoration.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, thanks to the perfect Missionary Work, thanks to two young men who decided serve to The Lord to build His Kingdom on Earth, meet the Missionaries and learn about the Gospel, has been the most wonderful decision in my life, have the knowledge that who am I? Why am I here? and Where am I going? find the answers to these questions, had made my life happier. Since I started listening the lessons from the Missionaries, my life started changing all the worries and sorrow has been transformed in joy and hope, I do not have a perfect life, trials and challenges are part of our growth in this life, without them we cannot exercise our faith. The scriptures are my iron rod, I find answers to my prayers there. Now I can share my testimony with others, because I lived without the Gospel the majority part of my life, before when I had challenges and trials it was hard to handle it, it was like trying to swim against the current, with no clue how to find a solution, even for small things. With the Gospel our life is not free of trials or challenges, but we know our Father in Heaven is there waiting for us, to kneel down and have Faith in him and in his beloved son Jesus Christ. Be a Mormon is find peace, joy and exercise Faith every day, it is not easy but it is worthy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, attending to The Temple, performing ordinances for my ancestors, until today we have made 250 names, we can see the blessings for this sacred work. Family Home Evening is part of our life, every Monday we take turns to teach, my children enjoy teaching what they learned on Sunday, attending to church, pay our tithing, pray and fast are priorities in our family. I teach in primary to the girls ages 10-11, I love to hear how they love our Savior, and how grateful they are for simple things. We read scriptures every night, and we share our testimonies as a family. Recently we had a beautiful experience with my son, he attended to a youth activity, they did a simulation of the pioneer's trek, they went to Martin's Cove, without technology for almost a week, can you imagine a teenager without cellphone for that long? well our youth did it. When he came back home the first thing he did "kneel down and ask us to say a prayer" after he said it, he shared his testimony and experiences during the trek. It was a beautiful experience, as a mom, I felt my heart full of joy, see him growth spiritually. For all these small and simple things, I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ atonement, for our Prophet Joseph Smith's courage to defend the truth and restore the Gospel for us, I'm so grateful for our beloved Prophet Thomas Monson, for our Bishop and leaders in our ward, for all the service they give us. This is the way that I live my faith, with a sincere heart, and being the same person every where, teaching with my example, and learning from my mistakes.
