Hi I'm John

I grew up in Texas. I work in the construction business. I love running marathons and spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a father of 4 children and a husband to a very special wife. I was born in California but grew up in Texas. I currently live in Jackson, Wyoming where I've developed a love for all things outdoors. I run about 20 miles a week, ski regularly through the winter, snowmobile, and hike among the mountains and forest where I live. I love doing all of these things but find them even further enhanced when I'm with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Perhaps it is easy to say that I am a Mormon because my parents raised me in the church. They joined the church when I was 2 years old. However they always gave me the freedom to find my own way. When I was 10 I felt strong promptings to learn for myself if the church was true. As I read the Book of Mormon I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it had been restored in our time. When I served a mission in Oregon, I developed a profound love for the people whom I served. I learned that when I served others, I could feel the Christlike love. It is what drives me to remain faithful.

How I live my faith

I serve locally in the church. In the past, I served the young men. I am currently serving among our young single adults who come to work in our town primarily during the summer months. It is a fun opportunity to serve among others who are so full of life and enthusiasm.
