Hi I'm Delaney

I grew up in Texas. I hope to be a high school teacher. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying to become a high school math teacher. I like to run long distances. I love reading. I am a hopeless romantic. I like organizing things and doing service projects. I love watching movies, and especially ones that can make me cry. I love making lists. I am goal oriented. I like to be on the move. I used to think I hated cooking, but I have found that I love cooking for other people. When other people are happy it makes me happy. I am full of a love for life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that this is Christ's Church. That this church has the fullness of the gospel. I know there is a God that loves me, knows me individually, and answers my payers. I know that my family can be together for eternity. I know that Christ suffered and died that I might return to my Heavenly Father that loves me. I know that without his sacrifice I would be lost. I know that I can repent of my sins, be forgiven and have peace. In this world without His help peace is hard to come by. And without His help this life can be really difficult. But I know I can turn to Him. I know that there is plan for me. This church and this gospel has blessed my life in more ways than I can count. It is why I have so much joy in my life and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the way I live my life. Sure I participate in church activities, play piano for my church, and try to be actively involved in service. But I feel I live my faith in the way I treat others and my personal actions in everyday life. I am far from perfect, but I feel I live my faith when I go out of my way to talk to someone who looks lonely, or when I refrain from judging someone. I feel I live my faith when I call someone just to see how they are doing and see if I can help them. I feel I live my faith when I kneel down to pray everyday and when I read my scriptures. I feel I live my faith as I try to follow Christ's example, and to have Christ like love for everyone I meet. I feel l live my faith when I try to keep my Heavenly Father's commandments. That is how I live my faith, that is how I show my love for God.
