Hi I'm Jacob

I love soccer and music.

About Me

I'm the 4th of 5 siblings. My father was born into the church and my mother is a convert. Her family aren't members of the church. I attended BYU for a little, but now I work for a living.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and rode the testimony my parents had through high school. Eventually though there came a time for me to figure out whether I knew if this church was true or not and I wasn't sure. I left home with a testimony hanging by a thread and went off to school at BYU. Unfortunately, I didn't cling to the church and tried every outlet to replicate the feelings I remembered having in church as a child. After fighting against the pricks for a couple of years, I got tired of running from the church and gave the gospel a chance. I started reading the book of mormon and praying and going to church and doing the little things to invite the spirit. Today, because of those little things that I started doing, I have a peace and joy in my life that cannot be replicated by anything found on this earth. What I have and the feelings I enjoy are entirely because of my Savior's sacrifice and the ability I have to repent and change. This kind of happiness only comes from the gospel.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ and prior to serving I was a sunday school teacher. I love being able to serve people and lift someone's burdens when they are a little too heavy.
