Hi I'm Krista

I grew up in four different states. Humanitarian work is important to me. I love the outdoors. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student. I want to travel the world doing humanitarian work. I love hiking, playing Frisbee, and enjoying the outdoors. I am the youngest of four kids in my family, and I have two nieces that I love playing with. Family is very important to me. I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the St. Louis Missouri region. I love the knowledge that we have that we are all children of God and are united in Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings to me a great happiness. I have never been happier than when I am living this Gospel. When I live by God's commandments I feel true joy in my life. As a member I have a knowledge of who I am; I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father. I feel His love for me everyday. Knowing this brings peace to my soul and gives me direction for my life. The world is full of things to pull us away from the Light of God, but living my best in Christ's footsteps has given me a new perspective for my life on earth. I have only found complete peace, comfort, and true joy from being a part of His church.

How I live my faith

Service is a principle that I have learned to enjoy. It is how we show our love of God and of our neighbors. I try to look each day for opportunities to help those I am around even if it is just a small act. I have such a testimony of this Gospel and I want to bring others unto Christ. And service is a really great way to do so.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Alma 30:44 is a testament of God in all things. The earth, nature, and human life all witness of a Supreme Creator. Our bodies are so amazing and there is much we can do with them, that otherwise would not be possible without a Creator, who is God. Anyone who studies anatomy and the human body knows how detailed, intricate, and amazing it is. It did not come about by chance. God exists and He has given us existence as well. Another example of His existence comes about by sincere and faithful prayer. We may not always see or understand how, but He does hear and answer our prayers. Every blessing we have in this life is a gift from God (James 1:17). Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead. The other two, being God the Father, and His Son Jesus Christ. Each of these are separate and distinct beings. The Holy Ghost, also referred to as the Spirit, is a witness of Jesus Christ. He does not have a body, but is a personage of Spirit (Doctrine & Covenants 130:22). The Holy Ghost is a comforter and a guide (John 14:26). All of God's children can feel the power of the Holy Ghost upon them as a testimony of God. The gift of the Holy Ghost is the right to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost when living worthily. This gift only comes after baptism and the laying on of hands from one who has Priesthood authority. This gift gives the one who holds it a conviction of the truth, comfort, peace, and guidance in their lives. (See 2 Nephi 33:1-2, and Moroni 10:5 as scriptural references). Show more Show less
