Hi I'm Jodie

I am a wife, mother, homemaker, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was raised in the great state of Idaho to the best of parents. I love to play sports and be outdoors. I love to craft but am not very crafty. I attended BYU-Idaho and graduated with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. Those were the hardest years of my life but most rewarding. I married my husband, had our first child, and lost my father all in a year and half while attending school. Through my challenges I have felt the endless love from our Savior and his helping hands in my life. I have a love for life and enjoy my time being a mother, a wife, and a daughter of our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I was raised Mormon so while I was young I followed my parents example. As I got older I needed to find out for myself if it was true or not. I took the challenge to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. At first I did not get my answer but was inspired to read the account of Joseph Smith and what we call the first vision. While reading my prayer was answered and I not only knew The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true but Joseph Smith was a true prophet sent to restore the Gospel on the earth today. I know that our Savior lives and loves each and everyone of us. He died for us and atoned for our sins so that we can be made perfect through him and return to our Heavenly Father. I know families are forever. I know we are blessed to have a latter-day prophet, Thomas Monson, to lead and guide us. I am so lucky and blessed to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by waking up each morning with a determination to be better. I am far from perfect but know by trying my hardest I will be blessed. I live my faith by attending my meetings.Through daily scripture study and prayer I strengthen my faith. I teach my children of God's love and the gospel through daily activities and family home evening. I live my faith by fulfilling my church responsibilities by visiting several sisters in my area and having sisters come visit me. I provide service to sisters or families as a compassionate service committee member.
