Hi I'm Quinton Peck

I live in Utah. I'm a college student majoring in political philosophy. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm the oldest of four children. I love playing all sports, especially basketball. I was homeschooled as a child and started attending college when I was 16. Growing up, I sang a capella harmony competitively around the United States for the Barbershop Harmony Society. I also have acted and spoke across the globe. I have plans to become an attorney as a profession. I'm currently serving an LDS mission to the Japan, Tokyo South Mission for two years. I love to smile and have a good time. I thank God for the wonderful family that I've been blessed to have. I know that God loves me, and want's the very best for all of his children. I love, LOVE to eat, so long as the food is good.

Why I am a Mormon

Having read the Book of Mormon, and also having been raised in the faith, the church is all I've ever really known. But for those same reasons, I know for a fact that this church is the true church. God did restore his gospel on the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know all of this to be true because I have asked God and have received revelation of the truthfulness of the word. I know that God lives, and that he loves each and every one of us as his children, because we are. I have felt his love for me as I have striven to do what is right. In the Doctrine and Covenants, a compilation of recorded revelation to the prophet Joseph Smith, it says that "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God." (D&C 18:10) Growing up, there was a time where I felt like i didn't "fit in," and that hurt me to the core. What helped me through that hard time was the fact that I knew that Jesus atoned for the sins and sorrows of all mankind, individually. I knew then and know and testify know that God knows every single one of us by name. He atoned for all of us in the garden of Gethsemane, and wants us to be happy so that we can return to live with him again. I bear my witness as a messenger of Christ that he lives, that this is his church, and that we can be forgiven of all of our sins and mistakes. And that through Christ, we can come to know the father. That was super intense, I know. But I hope you can feel how much I love my savior. He means the world to me.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for the church in the Japan Tokyo South Mission, speaking Japanese. I attend my meetings regularly and try to assist others in coming to know the goodness of Christ. Although I'm not perfect, I try to live what I believe and love my neighbor as myself. I know that God lives, and I testify to all that Jesus is the Christ, the holy son of God. I live each day trying to become more like Christ through his loving atonement.
