Hi I'm Victoria

I am an Engineering student. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am a college student seeking an Engineering degree. I love to ask questions and learn how and why things work they way they do. I also love creating, whether it be painting, sculpting, building, drawing. Before I die, I will have traveled the world and experienced life through the eyes of many different types of people. There is so much that this world has to offer and I plan on learning as much as I can through this short sojourn we call life.

Why I am a Mormon

The decision to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been a long and arduous journey, full of many years of praying and pondering, asking questions and seeking answers. I have known the church my whole life, was raised believing the teachings, but it was not until I sought it out on my own that I learned the significance of all that I was taught. When I was 17 years old, I began my quest for truth. I sought it everywhere I knew to look for it. I read the words of Rene Descartes, Aristotle, learned some teaching of Taoism, sought out scientific theories, the Big Bang theory, evolution. For the next four years, I searched, but it seemed that the more I sought after truth, the more questions I asked and the more confused I became. Those years were honestly the darkest and most depressing years I have ever had. So, finally, I decided to look in a place that I had refused to look for the past few years, The Book of Mormon. I began to pray again, to look to God and see if He was really there, if He really had a Son who is called Jesus Christ, if all that I had been taught years ago was in fact truth. I found more answers in the next three months of reading The Book of Mormon and attending church, sincerely and anxiously praying to my Father in Heaven, than I had found in the previous four years. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it is TRUE. I have not only sought it out with my mind, but also received a witness through my heart by the Holy Spirit that it is true. My decision brings me peace and comfort daily. I now know who I am and what my purpose on this earth is. I understand where I came from and where I have the opportunity to one day go.

How I live my faith

There are many outward expressions of living a faith-filled life, but essentially it boils down to doing all that the Lord asks of you and needs you to do. Personally, every decision I make comes from this basis. Whether the Lord asks me to participate in church by planning an activity for local single adults, or by visiting and reaching out to specific people, or to put aside all personal obligations and serve Him by being a missionary, I will do it. As long as the Lord has need of me, I will be there for Him to use as He sees fit.
