Hi I'm Wendy Madsen

I grew up in Utah. I love anything to do with the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a part time student and work part time. I love anything to do with the outdoors because it is so peaceful and quiet from the world. The mountains is my favorite place to be especially with my family. I love learning and trying new things! I'm very outgoing and love making new friends everyday. I'm one of the bubbliest and happiest people you will ever know! Most of all "I'm a Mormon, I know it, I live it, I love it."

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in a LDS home and was taught and educated on the knowledge and ways of life. My parents are the best parents who are strict and wanted the best for us kids. Well as time went on and I went through life and met friends.. My knowledge of the gospel and truth was fading. I loved the world and what the world had to say and do. I didn't like the restrictions of the Mormon church. I felt like we could have no fun at all! My friends would laugh and mock me.. I would listen.. it was a hard time for me and my parents! They would try so hard to let me know that I am great and that I need to be the best I can be and find great friends who were a better example. I hated it because I felt like they never listened. People say you may be brought up in the church and doing everything right but do you know for sure that it's true?? I honestly never took the time to think about that. I just always did what my parents told me to. So I never really did have a true strong testimony of the church til I was 17 years old. That's when I was put to the test! I was taken out of public school and put onto Online high school so I could focus better. Well that was the best/ cruelest decision my parents ever made for me! I was able to stop and look at my life and see where I was and I realized that I was not happy and that I didn't know who I was and that I didn't like myself. So I decided now was the time to figure out where my standards lie. I started joining my friends who went to seminary and who went to the church activities. We became great friends and they were always happy and have strong testimonies! I wanted that. I started reading my scriptures and going to the temple more and more and more I realized that I actually love the gospel and realized that I was getting a testimony of this church by myself. Not through anyone else. It was a hard lesson to learn but I'm so grateful for that trial I had! Now I know the church is the true church!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through every day activities. When I'm on Facebook I make sure to state how wonderful today was because of the small and simple miracles I've seen through other people or through me. I avoid the topic of "about me" I try to show others how wonderful they are. God says we are all his children and that we need to love and treat our friends and neighbors like we want to be treated. I believe that with all my heart! I live my faith through my callings in my church. Serving others in my ward, helping, loving them and befriending them. Every one is amazing and I know that's why I'm here on this earth to help others know why they are here and why they are so special. We are all daughters and sons of this world. We are never a lone. I love LDS church with all my heart and wouldn't be who I am today with out it. I'm so grateful for the prophets, teachers, and my wonderful parents who stick in there and show me and guide me to the right path. The LDS church is true.
