Hi I'm Brandyn Bailey

I love life and adventures. I live in Alaska and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI, my name's Brandyn. I love to be outdoors and have many things I enjoy doing. In the winter I love to go snowboarding, either at the resort or some good ol' fashion backcountry out in the mountains. I love the snow and cold climate. In the summer I like to go camping, hiking, mountain biking, wake-boarding, play soccer, cliff jumping and just being outside. I build houses with a friend who has his own independant contracting business. I am learning alot about carpentry and how to work with my hands. I plan on going to college when I get back from serving a full-time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the restored gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much happiness and hope into my life. The people I have come to know through being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have made me feel so welcome and loved. I love being Mormon and knowing that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the Earth. I know that God loves each and every one of us (his children). I know that he hears our prays and answers them according to our faith and obedience. I know Jesus is our savior and that he lives. I have come to know that the The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that we have a prophet of God on the Earth today, President Thomas S. Monson, and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church of Jesus Christ on the Earth.

How I live my faith

I used to work for the boys and girls club and have done some fund raisers for kids. In my ward I have the opportunity to teach lessons sometimes for one of our classes where all the young single adults meet, I love it. I try to make it a habit to go visit the people who usually cant make it to church because of their health. I have become very close with some wonderful people who I consider close friends. I have had opportunities to volunteer at the food bank gardening and preparing their harvest for the season. I also have been apart of many service projects for our church whether it be chopping and supplying wood for the winter, helping people move, cleaning gardens, you name it. Service brings true happiness I believe.
