Hi I'm Bailee

I was raised in the church, but was truly converted and gained a testimony of my own at the age of 19. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a wife and a mother to 2 beautiful children! A few of my hobbies include snowboarding, reading, writing, woodworking, and gardening. I love to see the beauty in the world around me, and I feel God's presence and love surround me when I do!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and for most of my life I thought it was true. But as I went through my teenage years, I began making choices that went against the commandments of God. For many years, I wandered in the unknown. What did I believe? Was I happy? What was missing? Then my life hit rock bottom. I turned to Christ and that is when my conversion began. I did not gain my testimony all at once but rather one principle at a time. First, forgiving others then second, I learned I must also forgive myself. Then, I began to understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ and that he truly loved me. He loved all of us and that is why he died for us. My testimony continued to build and the burdens of the world were lifted off my shoulders as I came to realize there is hope. There is another way then living selfishly. It is God's way. Heavenly Father gave us rules and commandments to follow , not because he wanted to hold us back or punish us, but because he loves us infinitely. He wants us to be happy. He gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, for us that we may repent and come unto Him! The Gospel of Jesus Christ became a staple in my life, the only thing that made sense and held me together. That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Currently, I serve in the Primary as a Music Leader working with ages that range from 1 1/2 to 12 years old. It is the most wonderful calling I have had so far. I love my calling because, not only do we get to have fun and sing songs but we get to learn the gospel and feel the spirit through the words we sing. The spirit is so strong with those young, innocent, precious children of God, that I get choked up when I hear them sing! The spirit is constantly reassuring me that the gospel is true.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Bailee
The Atonement of Jesus Christ was a critical role in mortal life. Without the Atonement there is no way, we as humans beings, could return to live with our Father in Heaven. As humans, we are naturally imperfect and easily altered by the world around us. But as we rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can be forgiven for our faults, our mistakes, and our sins. We are, therefore, free of our sins if we repent, but freedom really isn't free. Someone has to pay the price. Soldiers pay the price for our political freedoms, but our older brother Jesus Christ voluntarily paid the price for our spiritual freedom, to whom I am forever grateful! Show more Show less
