Hi I'm Sophia

I'm first generation Australian. I work in health care. I'm a soon to be missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Serving a full-time mission has been my main goal for a long, long time. The time has finally arrived, and I am absolutely stoked to be serving in the Australia Adelaide mission. I'm including this in 'About Me' because it is a big part of who I am and who I wish to become. I love the outdoors doing anything and everything from simply lying in the sun to hiking to mountain tops. I find being in nature rejuvenates me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. Throughout my life in the church I have had a plethora of diverse experiences and opportunities to learn and come to know that God is our Father in heaven and that He loves us more than our mortal minds can fathom. When you know this for sure, everything else is okay- no matter what. I am a Mormon because I have done as the Book of Mormon prophet Alma invited us to do and have 'experimented upon his words' [Alma 32:27] so I have as I mentioned above, I have exercised my faith and the only way that we can know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true is by 'experimenting' on it or in other words, by living it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to make the Atonement of Jesus Christ an interactive part of my dealings every single day. The very notion of 'living my faith' denotes that faith requires action and the Atonement of Christ aids us in acting on the things we recognise we need to do within our lives in order to become more like Him. The miracle is that we can live our faith by letting it become who we are. When we're kind, we live our faith; when we forgive, we live our faith; when we have compassion and understanding; we live our faith, and when we stand up for right and truth, we live our faith. These are just some of the things I am ever striving to be, to live my faith.
