Hi I'm Jacob price

I am a baseball player and love to compete. I am a policy debater and love to have a fun. But most importantly I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a sport enthusiast an love to compete in everything I do. From baseball to chess I love to just have fun with a competitive edge. I also love to debate about anything and everything. I believe that intellectual discourse with a competition of ideas leading to where truth and righteousness will always prevail even when we sometimes we my be deceived into believing something outside of truth. All consequences will push us towards believing in things related to godliness. I am about to go on a mission to Guadalajara, Mexico and hope to service my Lord in what ever The Lord has need of me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ's atonement is the most important thing that has and will take place. Because of Jesus Christ, we can repent and return back to his presence. This single act of love from the only perfect man to help save his brothers and sisters from a awful existence in which we could never return back to our father's presence. I am a Mormon because of the emphasis on families are forever! Most people love their families even if we don't have the standard mother/father/kids relationship. It is the people that we love and our ability to live together forever if we are righteous that really mean something to me. All the glory, fame, and money in the world or the world to come will mean nothing if we can't have it with someone we love. I am no hippy but without this love of everyone(especially families) this world would be a living hell that I wouldn't want to be a part of. I am a Mormon because I love my God, My family and a positive look on the future if we remain righteous.

How I live my faith

I try to serve others when ever I can. I try to fulfill all my duties in church and am proud to be a Mormon. I treasure my membership and always try to live worthy enough to enter the temple. I am one of those people that aren't pushy about religion but I will not check my beliefs at the door when I enter any situation outside of church. I am not a Sunday Mormon... I stand with truth at all times. I am about to serve a mission in Mexico and am going out to teach people about the gospel and atonement of Jesus Christ. My faith is what guide's my decisions in life. Faith isn't just after the fact but is the base of all my priorities in life. Sometimes we are so busy that we seek after good things like sports, talents and other worthwhile adventures but sacrifice our ability to serve others, stand in holy places and keep all of gods commandments. I am the most guilty of running after good things that I too have forgotten or justified not praying or studying the scriptures because I was tired and need to do homework or more stuff for these activities. God should never be put on the backburner, He must be priority number 1 and everything is secondary to his teachings. After all sports, fame and money will never, never get you a spot in the Celestial kingdom. I have choosen to awaken and arouse your faculties, faith isn’t easy and what will come will not be easy. But it is worth everything to gain faith and the fortitude to believe in Christ. Note that lip service and just saying “I Believe...” will not cut it. God only judges your faith based upon how you react to problems and temptations. We are still all saved by grace but actions help solidify your belief. The words we say to mean nothing if we can’t back it up with action. God believes in the phrase of walking the walk and talking the talk. Not just talk.
