Hi I'm Merek Judd

I love volleyball, singing, serving others, and my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a student at Brigham Young University in Utah and I love to play volleyball. When I'm not studying you can probably find me on a volleyball court or geocaching up in the mountains. I love meeting new people and learning about the different walks of life from which people come. I'm spontaneous and I enjoy being adventurous with friends. I am studying Exercise Science and hope to become a dentist and continue the legacy of dentistry in my family. Along with my Heavenly Father, my family is my most constant source of support and I love them dearly. I laugh with them, cry with them, and most importantly grow closer to them by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ that was restored to this earth by the prophet Joseph Smith.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I grew up with the understanding that I came to this earth to learn and grow with a family to help guide and support me along the way. That we are not alone in this mortal journey and that I can live with my family for eternity. I continue to live this faith now that I am older and able to make decisions for myself because there is no other way that I have found so much joy than in living God's commandments, serving others, and enjoying the blessings that come from being a member of Christ's restored church on the earth. I have come to know of the truthfulness of this Gospel that was restored by Joseph Smith by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know whether or not this book and all of its teachings of Jesus Christ are true. This book has brought me tremendous amounts of joy and guidance as I weather the storms of life. Not only am I grateful for scriptural revelation, but for modern revelation that comes from our living prophet Thomas S. Monson and his apostles that stand beside him. These men are witnesses of God who are His mouthpiece and give us the guidance we need for today and the times that we live in. I know that if we follow their counsel that we will be blessed more than we can imagine and that they will never lead us astray.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me and being a good example to everyone I come in contact with. In every aspect of my life, I strive everyday to act as Christ would. I'm not perfect but I know that if I have a sincere desire to become like my brother Jesus Christ, that He will help me in my journey. I live my faith by sharing the Gospel with my friends because it is a gift that has brought me so much joy in my life. A gift that was so generously given to us by our Father in Heaven. This gift has given me such immense joy that I chose to serve a mission and share this gift as a full-time missionary. As a full-time missionary in Portugal I came to love the Portuguese people and helped them come to understand the love that their Father in Heaven has for them. Upon returning home I have had various opportunities to share the Gospel with coworkers and see how the Gospel brings them joy as they begin to form a relationship with God and live His commandments.
