Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in Alberta. I am married with 1 child. I am a convert. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a convert. I am a stay at home Mother of one energy filled crazy boy and a wife. I enjoy music, sports (specifically Hockey and NFL Football), spending time with my boy and husband. I enjoy playing guitar (for myself, and a select few people), camping, shooting at the range, and laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received confirmation through revelation that this is the true church here on the earth. The doctrine and principles are patterned after what Jesus himself taught and preached while he was on this earth. You can read this for yourself in the New Testament, Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. I CAN and DO receive revelation from my Father in Heaven. I have the gift of the Holy Ghost as a constant companion, so long as I live my life righteously. I wasn't a member of any religion growing up. And meeting with the missionaries, and taking the discussions, even though I didn't fully understand everything, I knew it was the right choice to be baptized and join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know this church is the true Church of Christ. I know that Jesus is my Savior, and that he over came death so I can be resurrected and have eternal life. I know that He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane, insurmountable pain, for my transgression, pains and afflictions, so that I can repent, and use the Atonement for healing and peace. I know that President Monson is a true prophet of God and receives revelation to lead and guide the Church. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel on the Earth, and that he too was a true prophet of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is scripture sent from Heaven for us. I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love each and everyone of us unconditionally. I am grateful for this firm foundation and testimony. It doesn't come overnight, its grown over time, as you are fully converted and see the hand of the Lord in your life, and as you have faith and act upon it. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me much happiness, peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by trying to keep the commandments of the Lord, repenting of transgression and keeping the covenants I have made with God. I try very hard to read the scriptures every day. You will always learn something new and the Lord will give you answers and guidance through them. I get to visit teach 3 wonderful ladies each month, by sharing a spiritual message, and making sure their and their families needs are being met. I was a teacher of one of the youth classes at church for 3 years and I fully enjoyed watching them grow in stature and knowledge each year.
