Hi I'm Hunter

I'm from Utah, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Arizona. I think most problems are solved with a good sense of humor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I don't really think of myself as an interesting person by any means, but I love doing new things. I was born in Utah, but moved around the country for my Dad's schooling. I had the chance to meet so many new people from so many different backgrounds, and it taught me that we really are all children of God. It also taught me that everyone in the world can laugh, and I think that laughter, besides love, is the most powerful peacemaker. I'm currently serving a mission for the church in Anaheim, California.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I truly believe that it holds the full and restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't just believe because my parents and other family members have told me to, I believe because I have felt the power and spirit of God testify to me that it is true because I asked Him if it was. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the Church, and hope to spread the joy it brings during my service as a missionary.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing just that, LIVING my faith. I try to carry myself every day in such a way that people can notice and a difference in me. I do this by living in accordance to the standards that not only the Church has set, but the standards that I have set for myself as well. I also left to serve a full 2 year mission in August of 2013. Leaving my family, whom I love more than I can describe to you, was the single hardest thing I have ever had to do. However I love this gospel and everything it stands for. I want so badly to help others see the light that I have been so blessed to have my entire life.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

After the death of Christ's Apostles there was a great falling away from the truths that Christ established. This period was called the Apostasy. During this time the gospel was left to be interpreted by men without the guidance and authority of God. The gospel was distorted and lost. Instead of reforming the broken fragments of the gospel on the Earth, God decided to completely restore the church. Through a young boy named Joseph Smith he restored and reorganized his church on the earth. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and is meant to go hand in hand with the Bible. The Book of Mormon contains the fullness of the Gospel, however this does not mean the Church discards the Bible. Show more Show less

Who are the Mormons?

"Mormons" is the nickname given to the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we are called Mormons because of our belief in The Book of Mormon which is named after an ancient American Prophet. Show more Show less
