Hi I'm Liza Smith

I love singing, raspberry lemonade, vintage dresses, back scratches, beards, and my home, Billings, Montana. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just completed my first year of college studying music education. I love to sing and play the piano. I love choir and making new friends. I love trying new foods and traveling. I like to water ski, scuba dive, rock climb, bike, take naps, and talk about life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints because it is true. I know it is. I know that our Heavenly Father has made it possible for His church to be on the earth today and that He wants us to have it. He wants us to understand why we are on this earth and how we can return to Him again one day. The church gives me a reason to live. It helps me understand who I am, where I came from, and where I am going. It helps me become the very best and happiest person that I can be. I know that our Heavenly Father lives and He loves us. I know that Jesus Christ is His son and that He atoned for our sins and died on the cross for us. Because of this, we can be forgiven and live with our Father in Heaven again. I know that families can be together forever through the sealing power of the temple. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he restored the church and translated the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that if you read it and follow its teachings that Heavenly Father will bless you. You will know that it is true and it will bring you true joy and comfort. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today who receives direct guidance from God. I know that if we keep the commandments and follow our Heavenly Father's commandments that we will be happy and be able to live with Him and our families forever. I am a Mormon because it is the truth and it brings me more happiness than I could ever explain.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and I teach a class at church specifically designed for people who have recently joined the church. I attend activities with other members of the church where we have lessons, play sports or games, or do service projects around our community. I attend the temple as often as I can and I try to be a friend to everyone.
