Hi I'm Alex

I'm a Mormon, I grew up in the Payson/Santaquin area of Utah.

About Me

I'm going to serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Florida, Tallahassee mission. I have 4 brothers and 7 sisters. I enjoy ATV's and Camping. Sitting around a fire with friends and/or family is a great way to spend the evening. I live in UT and the weather isn't always the greatest, on nights that are too bad to be outside, I'll stay in and watch a movie.

Why I am a Mormon

Gratefully, I was born into the church. It has always been a way of life for me, until the last few years when I realized it is a choice not something that I have to do. Growing up in Utah, I wasn't very exposed to different cultures or a great knowledge of other religions; therefore, until I was 14 or 15 years old, being LDS or 'Mormon' was simply the only option. Once I realized being LDS isn't the only option, I opened up to different things, swearing, certain movies and music, and being less active in the church. After about a year of this slump period in my life I stepped back and took a look at what I was doing, I wasn't happy with what I saw and was living a pretty sad life. I started going back to church, cut out the bad movies and music, I worked hard to swear less and eventually not at all. Doing these things and continuing to do these things I realize the blessings that come from it in to my life. I'm a happier person and have more patience, love, and compassion for people and in turn people show more of these qualities towards me. This is the true church and I know it. Our heavenly father loves us and has sent us a Prophet to guide us in these the Latter-Days, his words are modern day scripture and revelation, prayer is the best tool we can use in this life whenever you have a question, a doubt, a strong belief, or a heart full of gratitude, get on your knees and pray to Heavenly Father, because whatever the reason is for your prayer, he will give you the answer, assure you, welcome and love you.

How I live my faith

Service. Serving others is one of the best things I can do to show our Heavenly Father that I love him and his children. Whenever I see a person who needs a ride from one town to the next, help doing some yard work, moving, or any other task that could be made easier with a helping hand, I make the time to help he/she with said task to lighten his/her load. It doesn't matter who or how they are if it looks like they need help reach out to them and show them you care.
