Hi I'm Jeremiah

I love to run. I enjoy performing and composing music. I love to learn new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of eight children. I have lived in California all of my life. I have participated in many high school activities, such as marching band, track and field, and cross country. I play a variety of instruments. These instruments include clarinet, bass clarinet, piano, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and French horn. I have also learned how to sing harmony with my brothers and sisters. My greatest achievement was serving my high school band as the drum major, the student leader who leads the entire band in the field show. I love to race in 5Ks for cross country. I compete in the 800 and 4x400 meter races for track. I look forward to attending college after serving my mission. I appreciate the opportunities I have to spend with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a personal conviction that Jesus Christ loves me. I know that Joseph Smith was directed by Him and God, our Heavenly Father, to restore His church and translate the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon has taught me how I should live my life and where I can go to find the answer to any question. Not only does it make me happy when I follow the Lord's commandments, but it makes me happy when I can share that opportunity to follow His example with others.

How I live my faith

I participate in serving others. It has been an amazing experience to demonstrate my faith by using my time to fulfill His purposes. I had the opportunity to serve as the ward music director and lead the congregation in singing the hymns. I find it tremendously spectacular that I can serve the congregation with my musical ability. Most of all, I take care to follow the example of Jesus Christ by being honest, helping people that I don't know, and practicing patience.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ. When I read from it, I feel peace and warmth. There isn't anything else that comes close to it except my family. The Book of Mormon reminds me that God loves us. He wants to bless His children so that they can be happy. I read it every day. This helps me remember that I can ask God what direction I should take in life. A common theme from the Book of Mormon is a promise, where if we keep His commandments He will bless us with prosperity. Despite the hard times that come in life, I can have hope that God will remember me and support me. From the Book of Mormon, I learn that God gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer for our sins so that we can be clean. I learn that Jesus is the perfect example and was perfectly selfless. I learn that Jesus Christ lives and still invites me to keep the commandments and serve God's children. I have felt the power of the Book of Mormon in my life. I know that it testifies of Jesus Christ. I can trust God to guide me with His love. I can feel His love every time I read the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
