Hi I'm Kierste

I grew up in Utah(mostly). I live in a small town. I'm a stay-at-home mother of two boys. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom to two little boys. I graduated with a degree in Family, Consumer, and Human Development with an emphasis in Family Finance. I blog about money and home related things at frugalanddomestic.blogspot.com. My little family is my whole world. I enjoy reading and cooking(on occassion), I love to be outside, and I love sunshine.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I feel blessed to have always had the teachings of the church in my life. However, I've still had to gain my own testimony of the gospel. There are many reasons I have choose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I have studied and prayed about The Book of Mormon, I have gained a testimony that it is true. Through praying for help at difficult times and in making decisions I have come to know that God does answer my prayers, although not always on my timeline or with the answer I had hoped to receive. I have felt the healing power of the atonement, not only in seeking forgiveness of my sins, I have also found strength in Christ to help me to forgive others.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week, where my testimony is strengthened and I am uplifted by those around me, and hope that I am able to lift and strengthen others. At church my husband and I team teach the 15-year-old Sunday School class. I love the opportunity to interact with the youth, to see their strength, and to hear their testimonies. My main focus right now in living my faith is to teach my children about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I hope I can help them to understand how much love their Heavenly Father has for each of them.
