Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in a little farm town in Utah. I am planning to start a business while I am in college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. I am majoring in Finance and I plan to start a business. I love playing sports, especially basketball. I am very involved in school clubs and activities. I participate in business clubs, Spanish club, and play on intramural sports teams.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon makes me happy! It is really that simple for me. I have not found any other thing that can really bring me lasting happiness, peace, and joy like the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints can. Happiness is really the only thing that everyone wants. We all go through life trying to find that one thing that will make us happy, and I was lucky enough to find it at an early age. Being a Mormon makes me happy, and I know it can make you happy too!

How I live my faith

I am taking a break from college to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Mexico City area. I will have the opportunity to teach everyone I meet about my church and what we believe. I am very excited to share my faith with the people of Mexico because it brings so much happiness to my life, and I want other people to feel that happiness too!

How does the Church finance its operations?

Jared
We voluntarily give 10% of what we earn to the Church. This might seem like a lot at first, but I think about it like this: God gave me the means to make a living. He gave me a strong body and a sharp mind, without which I wouldn't be able to make any money at all. Since He gave me the tools I need to make a living, it is the least I could do to give Him back 10% of what He gives me. Show more Show less
