Hi I'm Cali

I grew up in California. I love being a wife, as well as being outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern California and I love the outdoors. I have spent many summers on the lake, rock climbing and hiking in Tahoe, and mountain biking in Folsom and camping wherever we could. I spent many winters skiing in the Sierra Nevadas, puddle jumping and escaping to the beach. There are 6 kids in my family and we are grown and out of the home but we still make plans every year to go camping on the ocean side. I attended BYU and BYU-Idaho and majored in Emergency Management. I met my incredible husband while I was working as a paramedic in his hometown and we got married and moved to Nashville, TN. He is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I love him with all of my heart. He treats me with so much respect and kindness and emulates My Saviors love perfectly. He is better than what I could have ever imagined and I wouldn't want to spend eternity with anyone else. We don't have any children yet but we have plans to be parents in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and everyday I have felt blessed because of it. I was raised with strong values and standards and was baptized the age of 8 by my father. At that time I knew of God, Jesus, the Holy Ghost, ancient as well as modern-day prophets, and that Heavenly Father had a plan so that we could all return to live with him again. My understanding and testimony has grown tremendously as I have left my youth and progressed on my journey of conversion. I know that Christ lives and loves us personally. I know that His church is on the Earth today and that Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet of that Church. I know that Christ's atonement is real and that it is the only way that I can return to Him. I know that I am able to spend the rest of eternity with my family if I follow His commandments. I am a Mormon because His gospel provides me with more happiness than I could ever find elsewhere and I want to share that happiness with those around me.

How I live my faith

As a member of my ward I get to be involved in many things that bring me closer to my Savior and feel of His love. I had the opportunity to teach and work with the youth. We spent many Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights learning and growing together as well as serving those around us. Now I have the chance to serve and lead the women of the ward. Visiting teaching and service are my main responsibilities and I love the chances that I have to meet and come to know my fellow sisters in the gospel. There are many chances that I have to serve my sisters and I feel Christ's love touch them through me. I feel blessed to be used to build up His Kingdom here on the Earth.
