Hi I'm Erica

I absolutely love being Mormon. I was blessed to grow up in the church. I'm from Idaho & am working at building a life for myself.

About Me

I absolutely love to spend time with people. I plan to work in a field that deals with helping people, such as speech pathology. I enjoy playing all sports, however, volleyball is by far my favorite. I work as a nanny and housekeeper. I think this is preparing me well to build my own family one day. My life right now consists of college, work, sports, and a little bit of a social life. The members of my family are my favorite people in the world. My mom is blessed to be able to be a stay-home mom, while my dad works hard to provide for our family. I love my parents so much and appreciate their example in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to be born into a family by which the gospel is taught from a young age. At times I relied on the testimony of my parents until I was able to find the truth for myself. I have felt Heavenly Father's love so very strong many times throughout my life. I had to question a few of the things that the church teaches. Through this questioning I had to make sure doubt didn't override the questioning, because doubt eliminates faith, whereas questioning can expand our knowledge and strengthen our testimony. That is what it did for me. I no longer have to rely on other people, because instead I have found that the most reliable source is our Father in Heaven. I had to pray, read the Book of Mormon and Bible, then act in a way that was in accordance with God's plan in order to find a reason to choose this religion. Over time, there has been more and more experiences that have solidified the correctness in the choice I made for myself, with the assistance of a loving Heavenly Father who knows me personally. Mormonism is no longer merely a religion for me. It is a way of living to become like our Savior. I feel so blessed every day to have the companionship of the Spirit of God with me to strengthen me in every aspect of life. I wouldn't trade this knowledge and the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father for anything. It is something I have found, must be held dear.

How I live my faith

The church provides multiple opportunities to serve. I love that. I feel like there is so much we can do to help and to have a reliable source of activities to do that is very beneficial to my life. I have had the chance to be a leader in many areas of the church. I have been in charge of multiple activities that have to purpose to bring the people closer together. I love the chance I have to work alongside so many great people. These opportunities to serve in the humanitarian efforts, church callings, and other service activities have taught me so much and built me physically and spiritually.
