Hi I'm Emily Ann

I am a lover of diversity. I am a designer, a Mexican cuisine fanatic and a collector of old books. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am captivated by the differences and similarities that separate yet blend humanity together. I’ve been exposed to an array of different cultures from that of my hometown. My father grew up in Hamilton, New Zealand and he’s instilled in me the importance of understanding other societies and their way of life (he jokingly claims to be 20% Irish, 30% Mexican, 40% Polynesian and only 10% of his actual blue-eyes-blonde-hair-German descent). He’s taken my family to the poverty-stricken streets of Mexico where starving children sell gum for one Peso in order to eat another meal. We’ve ventured to historic monuments and marveled at ancient artifacts. We’ve driven through the lush rolling hills of Ireland and cruised through the towering glaciers of Alaska. We’ve flown on a plane for 20 hours, across the entire Pacific Ocean to pick up my brother in South Korea upon the completion of his mission. We’ve walked through the overpopulated streets of Hong Kong and witnessed the technologically advanced Tokyo. I’ve connected with mass amounts of individuals who don’t speak my native language as I’ve attempted to see the world through their eyes. I so desire to understand the different views of others throughout the entirety of my existence.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I could never deny that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have diligently read it, questioned it, studied it, tore it apart, and examined it. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving God. In turn, I am able to love others.
