Hi I'm Megan

I live in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from high school in 2015. I attended Utah State University for one year, studying Psychology. Now I am serving a mission for the church! Right now I am in the England Leeds mission and I love it. It's incredible being able to serve the Lord all the time. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be so near to the Spirit and to be able to share the good news of the gospel with everyone here. I love music and I have been playing the piano for about 8 years. I love dancing, especially ballroom. I got to be on my high school's team the entire time I was there and it was definitely my favorite part of school. Spending time with my family is one of my favorite things.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is the most important thing in my life. For a long time, I leaned on the testimonies of those around me. I never doubted anything about my faith, but I never really knew for myself either. I loved the church and everything that it taught me, and I loved the person it helped me to become. So I just kind of went on trusting that one day, that big moment would come for me. Then one day, when I was 17, I had a sort of realization. I had had a very bad day. I was sick, injured, I felt like I was doing everything wrong. One night, I sped through my prayer and got into bed as quickly as I could so I would be able to sleep. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't fall asleep. This voice in the back of my head just kept saying "Pray again." I ignored it. Then it came again. And again. So finally, I rolled out of bed, got on my knees and said "Alright. What is it?" And a small voice whispered "I love you." As I heard this I was filled with warmth and comfort. He just wanted me to know that He loved me. That was all. This was a testimony to me of God's love for me. I realized I didn't need some huge miracle to tell me that the church was true. I already knew. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that he translated the Book of Mormon. I know with all my heart that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he died for me personally, as well as everyone else. His Atonement is there to help me, to cleanse me, and to give me strength. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. I know that temples are the house of the Lord, and that they are sacred. I know that the Bible is true along with the Book of Mormon. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the only true and living prophet on the Earth today. He gives us revelation from our Father in Heaven. I know that this is the true church on the Earth today. I know it, I live it, I love it.

How I live my faith

As a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have a unique opportunity to be a representative of Jesus Christ each and every day. I devote my time to the Lord and teaching His children here in England. As missionaries, we have a very different style of living that probably seems weird to others. But this lifestyle helps us to be as close to the Spirit as possible in order to help us do what we came to do.
