Hi I'm Libby

I am from New Zealand and am currently getting prepared to serve a Mission.

About Me

I love to play the piano, for me it is a form of expression and realaxtion. My siblings and I were all expected to learn a musical instrument growing up and this is something I am indeed thankful for. Growing up I have also been involved in sports. I've participated in competitive running, swimming and up until now I have been involved in numerous netball teams. Sport is something I just thrive off and am passionate about! I will be leaving home for the first time in my life for 18 months to serve in the France Lyon Mission. I cannot wait!

Why I am a Mormon

Ive been a Mormon my whole life. I have not had the opportunity to see what my life would be like without this wonderful gift. In saying this, I am able to see the difference between my life and the life of my friends who are not members of my church. Values are something this gospel has to offer. I am thankful for the values it has installed in me. Simple values such as using appropriate language can make such a difference in the way people view one another. I am thankful for the importance that it places on families. I find such great comfort and strengnth knowing that I can be with my family for time and all eternity. Being a mormon gives me great confidence knowing that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, even a King. I love that it allows me to repent of all my wrongdoings and allows me to become a better individual every day. I know this is all possible through my saviour Jesus Christ. These are all things I know to be true. These are things of personal value and are constant reminders as to why I have chosen to follow this gospel, my Heavenly father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I serve amongst the youth. This is a lot of fun being able to interract with these young people who have so much potential. I find a lot of strength in seeing these young people become the best individuals they can and seeing them grow spiritually, mentally and physically. I have only just moved out of the youth programme myself. Being able to delve into it as a leader is something I have a lot of fun with. Especially becasue I feel so connected not only to the youth but the programme. Additionally; I have had the opportunity to play the Piano for a youth choir. This youth choir had a special spirit. People not of our faith but part of the general community were able to hear this choir sing and also felt of the wonderful spirit they had.
