Hi I'm Marion

I love Transformers, I'm a consistent ComicCon attendee, I'm preparing to serve a mission, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a fraternal twin with a love of music, a passion for art, a strange fondness for Transformers, and a skill for collecting cheesy jokes! Throughout my schooling, I've almost always participated in every available musical, play, or music event offered. Now that I have recently graduated from high school and moved out of my parents house, I'm preparing to serve in the Brazil, Sao Paulo East Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life, and I have loved every moment of it. Life brings its challenges and being who I am and standing up for what I believe in is not always the easiest life to live, but I have never regretted that what I stood for. I am a believer in Christ and his sacrifice and the love he shared for all of us. I have seen his work in my life, and I know that he knows me personally and will never leave my side. I'm a Mormon because its where I know I'm supposed to be.

How I live my faith

Growing up where I did, I was really the only girl in my age group. There were a few girls older than myself, but the vast majority of them were much younger than me. Because of this fact, I was always called to be the "President" or the "Leader" of my age group. As a youth, to me, having these callings were the most annoying things ever. I didn't want to stay after church and go to meetings, and I definitely didn't want to be in charge of calling others to remind them to come to another activity. I wanted to be free to take naps and not care about anything other than next weeks math test. Now, reflecting on the positions I've held and what I have gained from enduring such "bothersome" duty's, I could not be more thankful. I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to serve the young women around me and to get to know them personally. Because of the callings I was entrusted with, I was able to grow and learn more about responsibility, service, compassion, and love. Once I came to realize that I had not been called because there was no one else available, but because my leaders truly felt I was the one suited for that position after praying to Heavenly Father and receiving an answer to their thoughts, I felt very honored to serve in my inspired calling. Heavenly Father will never ask us to do something that we cannot do. He loves us and wants us to succeed. When I think of this, I become empowered to serve more and to do the best I can to accomplish that which has been set before me. Today, I am preparing to serve on an 18 month mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I want to serve those around me and show them what took me so long to understand on my own, that it might be a little easier for them to understand what took me most of my life to figure out. I wish to share with those who are willing listen, the love of our savior, Jesus Christ, and what it really means to be "In the service of your fellow men". I love the Lord, the Savior, and this Restored Gospel.
