Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Brigham City, UT. I am a wife, mother of 4 and a registered dietitian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have one daughter and three sons. I like to cook, crochet, garden, ride horses, sew, read, and play the piano and guitar. My husband is a state legislator so politics are a frequent subject of discussion at home and elsewhere. I am a registered dietitian and love to teach people about good nutrition and how to be healthy. I love cub scouts and have been a volunteer cub leader for almost 10 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I have many ancestors who sacrificed their homes and comforts and crossed the plains to find a place where they could worship and practice their religion freely. I am so grateful to those who came before me. I feel like if the gospel of Jesus Christ was worth all that they sacrificed I would dishonor them should I reject the things I have been taught from childhood. I have gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that we have a prophet that lives today. I know Jesus is my Savior and I am so grateful for the atonement. As a wife and mother being a member of the church helps me to have a better marriage and gives me values to teach my children. I would be so lost without the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I serve in a leadership position with three other ladies who oversee activities and Sunday lessons for children ages 18 months to 11 years old. I also oversee the cub scout leaders in our ward.
