Hi I'm Toby

I spent most of my life in Texas. I'm a total nerd and love math, physics, and chemistry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 100% nerd. My favorite things to talk about include physics and chemistry. I enjoy reading but read so fast I run out of things to read very quickly. I enjoy art as well, and paint when I have some free time and an idea of what to paint. I don't always like to interact with people, but I do like to be around them even if I'm not doing the same thing or talking with them. Honestly, people confuse me. My family often compares me to Spock, since what I understand least about people is why they persist in making irrational decisions.

Why I am a Mormon

I think that the most important reason that I am a Mormon is that whenever I follow the church's teachings, I feel good inside, happy and assured that I am making the right choices. The church makes me feel full of Christ's love for me, and all of the happiest moments I can remember are times when I felt the spirit because I was following the gospel. I know that the gospel is true, because when I follow it, it makes me feel as though everything is the way it should be, the way God means it to be. I know that the Church is true, and I know that it makes me a better person than I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by simply thinking of others whenever possible. One of my callings at church is home teaching, where me and my home teaching companion visit other members so that we can understand their needs and help them with anything we can. I also try to support my friends as much as possible, as well as try to influence them to strive for continual improvement. For example, I have helped several of my friends with their Eagle projects for Boy Scouts. I think the most important way that I live my faith is trying to be there to comfort those around me however I can. Sometimes people just need a little love.
