Hi I'm Patricia

I am now a grandmother but I was introduced to the LDS church when I was a teenager growing up in Cape Breton. I love music.

About Me

My children are now grown and I am enjoying my grandchildren now that I am retired from nursing(almost). I live in a small town and have enjoyed being active in my community through schools and organizations and now I play the Ukelele with a group and take art classes.

Why I am a Mormon

How grateful I am for the visit my husband and I made to Temple Square in Utah that eventually led missionaries to our door. The knowledge they brought to my life opened up to me the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know He lives and through His Atonement I can live with Him again and live with my family forever. His teachings have helped me to live a happier life. It does not mean there are not hard times but with gospel knowledge and the guidance of the Holy Ghost difficulties are able to be dealt with. All I believe has certainly guided my behaviour in the way I live my life

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had many opportunities to work in different organizations within our church- singing and directing the choir, working with the children in Primary, helping to provide camps for teenage girls as well as be part of their weekly activities, be involved with the other women in our organization called Relief Society. there I have learned many things to help make me a better mother and homemaker as well as develop what might be considered unusual skills- like how to safely shoot a gun or where spark plugs are in the car and how to change a tire or jump a battery or how to cook dandelions. I have always been a visiting teacher and this has helped me come to love and serve all the women, my Sister, that are in my church ward.
