Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in California. I am preparing to serve a mission in Virginia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love stories! My hobbies include reading, writing, and taking apart stories to see what makes them flow. I am currently a college student at BYU, still in the process of figuring out what I want to do with my life. I began by working on a degree in mathematics - since I love calculus! But that's just not the field for me. I love spending time with friends, serving, working in the yard with my family, and learning how to cook!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. It wasn't until I turned 12 and started in the Young Women's program that I started to really think about what religion meant to me. My testimony developed so slowly. It wasn't until after years of reading the scriptures, studying, and prayer, that I realized I had one at all. Something I always desired was to become closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I had no idea how to go about that. During my teenage years I felt like He was some distant figure that I could never know like other people did. But with that firm desire in my heart, I went forward in faith. I prayed that I could come to know Him as I studied my scriptures, went to church, and kept the commandments. As I was diligent in doing these things over time, I came to trust and rely on the Savior. I know that I have a true and living Savior. I have felt and seen so many evidences of His presence in my life. They are not usually big things. But perhaps a little humor in a bad day, feeling His love through the service of others. But I know that He is my Savior, and that I can trust and rely on Him in all aspects of my life.

How I live my faith

I like to do small things for other people that make all the difference. Cheering someone up when they feel down - with ice cream! - doing my roommate's dishes, or sending a smile someone's way.
