Hi I'm Jordan

I have lived in Indiana all my life. I am a student, a Spanish major, a math minor, and a singer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young college student. I love music, bowling, movies, friends, family, and my church home. I have been to a lot of states within the USA but I hope to see a lot more of the world in the future. I have plans to serve a mission in South America in the coming months and I could not be happier. Afterwards I hope to continue studying the Spanish language and work towards becoming a teacher. Among my greatest goals are to be a wife and mother some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2008 along with my mom, dad, and older brother. Before this time I was Catholic but was never very active in the Catholic faith, and so not really active in any church. My family and I began learning about and gaining interest in the LDS Church in 2007, and, when the opportunity was presented to us almost a year later to be baptized, my mom told my brother and I that we were old enough to decide for ourselves whether or not we would be baptized. I was not quite 13, yet took this decision very seriously. I had learned a great deal from the missionaries and had begun attending church and my heart had begun to feel glad as I learned of and grew in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I chose to be baptized and now, 6 years later, I look back on this decision as being the most important and significant decision that I have ever made. I have had the opportunity to grow a great deal more in the gospel since that time and my heart only feels more and more glad as it is opened to more and more truth. I absolutely love the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has brought me the fullness of its truth. Each additional day being a member of this incredible church is a blessing and a joy. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that He loves me and you. I know that all of God's children can be forgiven of their sins and return to live with Him in all of His grace and glory some day. I know that Joseph Smith was a man of God and I will forever be grateful for his sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by trying each day to follow the perfect example of Jesus Christ and by doing my best to act in a way that I believe would make Him proud. In my local church congregation I help in the nursery, where we take care of and try to teach little kids who are 18 months to 3 years old. I also help to organize activities for young single adults and visit with members of the church who have been absent for a long time to see how they are doing. I am willing to offer my help in doing these things because I believe that every person is precious to God and I just hope that I can make a difference in bringing myself and others to know Him better as I serve and strive to live my faith as best as I can.
