Hi I'm Dallin

I'm from Kuna, Idaho. I'm a musician. I'm an athlete. And a missionary.

About Me

I am the oldest of 5 boys and have wonderful parents. I am an Eagle Scout. I played football and threw discus and shot put in my high school. I play the piano but sing even more. I was the lead in an opera in High School. I enjoy to hang out with my friends and I love the gospel. I am currently serving in the Farmington, New Mexico Mission which covers the Navajo, Hopi and Apache Reservations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been taught about it all of my life. I never converted to the church but I had to find my faith. I love being a mormon because it make me happy. Whenever I read the scriptures, pray or attend church I have so much joy and I know there couldn't be anything better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. I am very involved in the youth groups in the church and I love to participate in as well as plan the activities. I love to serve and just talk with others. I believe that being a friend to someone is one of the best way to live as Jesus did. I have chosen to serve a mission and I love it.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Dallin
Baptism is very important to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latte-Day Saints because we believe that we must be baptized to "fulfill all righteousness" as the Bible tells us. We follow the example that Christ set for us when he was baptized and are baptized by immersion. When we are baptized we are making a promise with God that we will follow him. We also promise that we will keep his commandments and that we will always try to act as Christ did. The best part is that God makes a promise back that he will forgive us of our sins, provided that we keep our end of the promise. Baptism is a very special thing that we do to show that we are making that promise with our Father in Heaven and it is performed by someone who holds his Priesthood Authority. Show more Show less
