Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in Utah. I overcame Depression. I'm serving in the Missouri St. Louis Mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California, when i was 8 i moved to Utah. I have 5 big brothers and no sister.. I have 3 nieces and 6 nephews. I love to model/ take pictures. 2015 Graduate When I was 12 I was diagnosed with depression. I was being bullied on in middle school. It came to the point of attempting suicide, thankfully for my mom I was saved and took care of. Over a few years I got the help I needed not from counselors but most of from our loving Father in Heaven. I've been able to help those who feel alone in this world. I was even picked to go to Washington DC to share my story on how I overcame it and to help those who feel like they are alone, so I can be a friend.

Why I am a Mormon

There was a point in my life when I wasn't quit sure why I was a member of the Mormon church. I was confused about everything. I didn't understand the Book of Mormon, I could understand the words, or the stories. There came to a point when I just wanted to give up and not try anymore. I had two friends who were preparing for mission. The one friend had told me if you ever have any questions feel free to ask me. So I took him up on that offer. That summer I learned more then I ever could, if it weren't for his help and guidance I don't think I would have the knowledge I have today. We may feel like we aren't smart enough for something, or we can't do hard things. But we can! Because of The church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, there is always a friend! There is always someone who can help you guide the way! God is there. Pray to him! He does listen!

How I live my faith

This last summer I went on a date, we made plans to go bowling but it was packed and we were able to get in at that time. So we said lets go for a drive, living in Utah there is snow everywhere. We went up and we pulled off onto the side of the road so we can go looked at the view of the valley. We got off and was stepping in snow to our knees, we were freezing. We took a picture and walked back to the car we got in his car and we were stuck. We were both getting frustrated, and scared. I thought maybe praying would help. So we prayed and these cars kept driving by. We weren't receiving any help. I said to my self we aren't having any Faith. If we have Faith that we will get help then we'll get help. So I said this to him and as soon as we had Faith this van that had drove passed us, had turned around and helped us. It showed that God is there and hears our prayers. But, we need to have that Faith that someone will come help us. I live my faith by going to church every Sunday, listening to appropriate music. Reading and Studying my scriptures
