Hi I'm Jackson

I grew up in Broomfield, Colorado. I play baseball. I'm an avid sports fan. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to play baseball, sports are my life. Now that I have graduated high school, I plan to serve a 2 year mission then attend Brigham Young University, which is where I have wanted to go since I was a little boy. I have 3 brothers and sisters, and we are a very active family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It is a beautiful thing to know that you can be with your family eternally, and it is a beautiful thing that Christ atoned for our sins so we can repent and live with our Heavenly Father again. I am so happy that I know my purpose in this life, and that i know exactly what I am striving for: eternal glory. I am a Mormon because it gives me a purpose, and I want everyone to experience the knowledge and happiness that I enjoy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by accepting my call to serve a full time mission in Lima, Peru this summer. I get to teach people the gospel and teach people what I know to be true and what I love.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Jackson
The family is the basic unit of the Mormon church. One of our core beliefs is that families get to be together forever, not just for this life. If a family member passes, it is very sad as would be expected, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. We believe that we get to see that family member again! That knowledge is such an amazing thing to have because it brings hope to a wounded family who missed their loved one. We believe that families can be "sealed" here on earth and in heaven through the power of Christ enabling them to live together for eternity. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jackson
The Atonement of Christ is the single most important event to happen on the earth today. The Atonement of Christ is when our brother, Jesus Christ, suffered for ALL our sins and ALL our pains and afflictions. It is impossible to comprehend just how much suffering He went through, but we do know that is caused him to "bleed from every pore". Try and put that into perspective, suffering for ALL our sins and pains, for Worlds without number. Its such a fascinating concept. Why did he have to die for us? It was the only way, and our Heavenly Father, and his son Jesus Christ, knew that. The only way back to live with our Heavenly Father is through the atoning sacrifice of Christ. Therefore, we must have faith is Christ, repent of our sins, and strive to become like him. We must do all things through Christ to be in His presence again. Show more Show less
