Hi I'm Schuyler

Although I'm a true Utah's "Dixie" Native with red sand still in my socks, I grew up in Arctic "Bush" Alaska. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm named after my Great Grandfather, Schuyler Bentley Everett, and have a very rich pioneer heritage. I moved to Kotzebue, Alaska (an Inupiaq Eskimo village about 35 miles north of the Arctic Circle) when young and grew up with snowmobiles, hunting, fishing, and winter camping. I graduated high school and attended Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. While attending college I worked winters as a snowmobile guide at Brian Head Ski Resort and summers as a horse trail guide/horse wrangler and rodeo staff at Ruby's Inn just outside Bryce Canyon National Park. I also began a plumbing apprenticeship and worked full time as a certified welder. I love snowmobiles, dirt bikes, hand loading/long range shooting, hunting and fishing. All of this supported by a great family and extended family who have all set outstanding examples for me and have taught me to love the Lord. Because of this, I've accepted the call to serve the Lord for two years as a missionary for the LDS Church in the Montana Billings Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into the Church but have had to make my own choices and walk my own paths. I have learned that living the Gospel brings happiness to my life. I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God through His prophets and because I know that the Savior Jesus Christ died for me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life so that others can see my love of the Lord and my strong convictions through my hard work and actions. I'm a very private person so I don't push things on others but I do make friends easily and I hope that by showing my love for them, they will feel the Spirit that I share. I love to learn about my ancestry and their sacrifices and testimonies of the Restored Gospel encourage and support me.
