Hi I'm Alexis

I am from Alberta, Canada. I studied at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am a full-time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in High River, Alberta but now reside in Houston, Texas. Past moves include New Jersey and Singapore. After many travels with my family and school groups, I have grown to love the people and culture in various places around the world and found immense passion in traveling. I have been an active participant in extracurriculars throughout high school such as orchestra, art, swim team, and have continued with some upon starting university. I currently attend BYU-Idaho, studying construction management and architecture. I love and have great interest in the man made environment we create for ourselves, and hope to ultimately take this passion and use if for the benefit of others in building up homes and communities. I recently accepted the call to serve a full-time mission in Charlotte, North Carolina and look forward to the wonderful experience of bringing people closer to Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life. Although some days have been worse than others, I know with a surety that following the teachings of Christ have led me though all my trails and continue to do so. This true and living gospel has brought meaning into my life I cannot find anywhere else. I know where I have been and where I am going. Living in a world where it is so complicated and difficult to grasp such simple truths, I take peace in this knowledge. The gospel of Jesus Christ has and always will be the focal point of my life because I know there is a God and He knows me personally and loves me and want nothing more than for you and I to return to Him. This is a message I hope to share with others so they can also feel the same peace, joy, and security only Christ's gospel provides.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through daily interaction with those whom I associate. I have had experience running my own business, working in group settings for intense projects, participating in sports and team activities, and teaching younger crowds in church. In all circumstances, I have tried to implement respect and love for my family, friends, colleagues, teammates, students, etc. and have used my example as a tool to demonstrate Christ-like qualities.
