Hi I'm Marc Yuwei Harvey

I was born in Taiwan and lived in Asia for 13 years, I was adopted along with my Twin, I attend college at BYU Provo. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My twin sister and I were adopted when were at the age of 7. Previously, we were born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. My birth parents were not members, but my adopted family are, so they introduced the gospel to us. I've lived in Hong Kong, Beijing- China, Maryland and now we are settled in Utah. I've also had the privilege of visiting many wonderful countries. Different cultures fascinate me and make me want to learn more about them. For my spare time, I enjoy participating in many different sports, I love to be creative and doodle. Some times it comes out better than I expected and some times I wonder what in the world did I just draw. Family and Friends are important to me and I love to spend time with them. Being around people makes me happy :D I'm fascinated with the NBA- Basketball and I enjoy to watch it, especially during the playoffs. It's pretty entertaining. I attended BYU- Provo for 1 year before my mission and I plan to return in 2 years! I'm not sure what I want to do yet.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Taiwan with my mom and dad being separated. I never imagined that life could be so nice, peaceful and loving. Because my mother was too young to raise us by herself she put my twin sister and I for adoption. There was two different families that wanted to adopt us, the family that i have now and a Russian couple. I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to live with a family so dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ and wanting the best for each member of the family. I know that everyone in life has a different perspective of life and what is right and wrong, each day we face with decisions. But as I look back in life I see just how far I've gone and changed. I know it's really hard to convert everyone and that there's going to be people that disagree, but I know and have experienced my life changing for the best and I want to go out and do whatever the Lord wants me to do to bring them back.

How I live my faith

I do whatever my ward wants me to do. I help make my community a better place. In the past a bunch of ward members went and helped with the Mormon helping hands program. I've been involved in all sorts of callings since the beginning when I was ordained to a Deacon. (June 2014) Right now I am serving a mission in California Anaheim- Speaking Korean. I get to teach others the gospel and help them come back to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Marc Yuwei Harvey
We are all Children of God and he loves each and every one of us. Through Adam's transgression we are able to come to Earth and receive physical bodies and be tested. While on Earth we are able to receive the gospel and live out our life righteously. With each and every step Heavenly Father made for us, draws us closer and worthy to live with him again after our days on Earth. I have a testimony that I know this church is true and that through righteous decisions, we will be blessed and have the opportunity to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.
