Hi I'm Sam Stowell

I love music, science and family. I play violin, sing, and have a lab coat. I'm a regular teenage guy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm not really sure what I want to do in life yet. I just graduated from high school, and am attending Brigham Young University after I serve a two-year mission in the Arizona Mesa Mission where I have been called. I love to sing, and attended the Honors All-State choir in Illinois, and hope to continue singing in college. I also play violin, and love creating new melodies and playing beautiful, intense songs. Another one of my interests is science. Anything that involves hands-on work is cool with me, but I also just love to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is His true church on the earth. I have felt His love for me and cannot deny the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. There's a... feeling about it. I know it is the Holy Spirit telling me of the truth of the gospel. Without the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I would not be even close to the person that I am now. I know I'm far from perfect, but by growing in the gospel and reading the Book of Mormon I know I can come closer to it than by any other way. I know that the Church is true, and I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

I have many opportunities to share my faith with those around me. The first and foremost way I try to do this is live in such a way that those with me can see the happiness and joy that I have in Christ. I was recently mentioned in one of our graduation speeches as someone who makes being polite into a hobby, so I guess it's working. I also refrain from swearing even though I was surrounded by it at school, and stay away from pornography, drugs, and alcohol.
