Hi I'm Taylor Davis

I am an athlete. I am a friend. I am a daughter of God. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school student, and I love playing all sports. However, most of the time I am either playing lacrosse or running cross country. I also love to play guitar and I am relearning how to play the piano. Writing music on my guitar is one of my stress relievers, and I would like to start writing music on the piano as well. I love to travel, and one of my dreams is to travel all over the world when I am older. I enjoy school, and getting an education is something that I value a lot. I love to meet and get to know new people everyday! Being with my family and friends is one of my favorite things, and I love this gospel more than life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, and until I was about 12 years old I leaned on my parent's testimonies. I became truly converted to God and gained my own testimony when my parents divorced. At that point in my life I realized that I cannot get through this life without Jesus Christ. I know that I can only be perfected through him and that I need to do everything I can to return to God's kingdom. I know that this gospel is true. I have had the spirit bear witness to me many times that The Book of Mormon is a true book that blesses lives and holds what we need to succeed while we are here on this earth. I know that God lives, and that he loves every single person on this earth unconditionally. I also know that he listens and answers everyone's prayers. I am so grateful for this gospel and I would be so lost without it. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and that he lives.

How I live my faith

I live my standards by going to church every Sunday, reading my scriptures and saying my prayers daily, and going to youth activities every week. I follow the standards in the strength of youth by letting others know what I believe and sticking to them the best I can. I also live my faith by not only going to seminary, but participating and striving to increase my relationship with Jesus Christ while I am there. I know that all these things help me to have a personal connection with God and Jesus Christ at all times, and that they also help me to recognize the spirit.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Taylor Davis
Joseph Smith asked God which church he should join. While reading the bible, he found his answer in James 1:5. It says "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." He received his answer after praying faithfully in a grove of trees next to his house. He was answered by receiving a vision from Heavenly Father, and his Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. They came to him and told him that none of the current churches on the earth were true, and that he was to organize a new church on the earth. He then continued to restore the church through the guidance of The Holy Spirit. Show more Show less
