Hi I'm Brad

I love swimming, camping, and singing (but not all at the same time). I'm a Canuck, I'm a missionary, and surprise! I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born with a speedo, cap, and goggles on. Swimming has played a huge part of my life since I was little, and got to the point where I was competing in meets all around the northwest US and California, giving me the opportunity to do something else I love, travel. There's nothing quite like the excitement that comes from exploring a new place, whether it be figuring out the maze of streets in a big city or getting lost in the woods (Just remember, you dig the hole before, not after). I also love to sing. I have performed in many different circumstances, from solos to barbershop quartets to full choirs in auditoriums, restaurants, and cathedrals. But even though I have experienced performing in many different venues, I still firmly believe that the place with the best acoustics in this grand earth that our Father in Heaven has given us... is the shower.

Why I am a Mormon

Just for a second, forget everything you think you know about our church. The place I go each Sunday is a hospital for a group of sick and broken people looking for the way to make themselves better. The doctors don't wear scrubs, and have funny names, like "bishop" or "home teacher." The ambulance drivers devote 18-24 months of their lives to try to rescue those who are in desperate need for the help that this hospital can provide and are recognizable by their worn out suits, crooked ties, battered shoes, and the black name tags over their hearts that have two names inscribed on them: their own, and the name of the only cure that can and will heal those lost souls: Jesus Christ. I was born into the church, but for a while when I was younger, I took the church for granted. It was just a place that I went to every Sunday with my family, and looking back, those were definitely not the best days of my life. It wasn't until I was 14 and started attending seminary that I really started to understand what exactly what church is. I am a Mormon because I am in constant need of help that only Jesus Christ can provide.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Great Long Beach California mission and don't want to be any where else!
