Hi I'm Jonah

I was born and raised in southern California. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an athletic guy. I played high school water polo and pole vaulted for the track and field team. I have grown up snow boarding, skate boarding, and skim boarding. From my senior year on I fell in love with surfing! I love playing any sport especially when I get to be around nice people and make friends. I am called to serve in the Florida Fort Lauderdale mission Spanish speaking. I leave November 5th. When I return from my wonderful mission I will be attending Brigham Young University Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are members of the church so I grew up going to church. One day in my early teenage years I knew that I needed to find out for my self wither the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the true church or if I even believed in God and Jesus Christ. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed many times to know if it was true or not. I received on confirmation from the holy ghost the it was true, and if the book was true then that meant that Joseph Smith really was a profit of God and really did translate the Book of Mormon. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true of Christ. His Gospel has been restored to the earth in its fullness. I know that God has placed a profit upon the earth in our day to guide and direct us. I know that Christ lived and the he took upon himself the sorrow and sins of all the world. I am overwhelming thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, I don't know where I would be without it. The Church brings so many amazing blessings into the lives of all its members and I want those blessings for everyone.

How I live my faith

I feel that I mostly live my faith by always striving to follow Christs example. I try to act as he would want me to wither that be work, at home, at school, or with friends. I am in a ward with many young single adults and we have tons of awesome activities that keep us all involved. They are fun, inexpensive, clean, and everyone is welcome, especially people who are not members of the church. Once a month I visit some people in my ward for home teaching. This is where I go over to there house and give them a short lesson focusing on the message the profit and his assistants send out each month in a church magazine called the Ensign. I also just visit with them to be a friend and a support to them as best I can.
