Hi I'm Rick

I was born and raised near the Atlantic Ocean. I have been married for 35 years. We have five children and 13 grand children.

About Me

I am a father, husband, and grandfather. I have an undergraduate degree in management, an MBA and have passed the CPA exam. I have worked in various finance and administrations jobs. I enjoy sports like swimming in the ocean, golf, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, bowling, softball and pool. I also enjoy opportunities to give church and community service. Hunting for shells and rocks can also be fun

Why I am a Mormon

When I learned that I could pray and get answers to prayers via the Holy Ghost it was a wonderful day in my life. Through study and prayer I know: 1. That my Heavenly Father loves me personally very, very, much. 2. That Jesus atoned for my sins and has prepared a way for me to obtain Eternal Life if I am willing to repent when I sin and to keep his commandments. 3. That the Church that Jesus organized when he was on the earth was restored in these the later days through the Prophet Joseph Smith - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 4. That the Priesthood of God has been restored to the earth. 4. That Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon which is another testimony of Jesus Christ. 5. That I can be married to my wife and sealed to my children for eternity if we are willing to keep the commandments. As a result of what I know I have enjoyed the opportunities of: 1. Being baptized 2. Being confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost. 3. Being sealed to my wife for eternity in the Temple 4. Receiving lots of opportunities to serve Jesus. 5. Receiving lots of blessings for making correct choices I want to do what my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want me to do. Striving to do this has brought me great peace and joy in this life. That peace and joy is what I want to be worthy of the rest of my life. And I know that I can not accomplish this without the help of my Heavenly Father, the Savior, the Holy Ghost's and others. And I want everyone to be able to enjoy this peace and joy in their life.

How I live my faith

I enjoy accepting responsibilities in church and in the community that enable me to strengthen individuals and families. Sometime I have the role of teacher, leader, record keeper, or organizer of events. Each role can be very rewarding whether I am working with children, youth, adults, or other leaders. I have learned that if I organize my time well; and focus on meeting the important needs of the people that I serve I can be successful in all of my responsibilities at home, work, church or in the community. What also helps is to find the time to pray daily, listen for answers to prayers, and do the work needed to get the jobs done that need to be done. .
