Hi I'm Lexie

I am a college student, piano player and an true Idahoan! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am going to school for either accounting or healthcare administration...I can't seem to make up my mind! I am a self-taught piano player and have been playing for a little over three years - I rarely go a day without playing because there is such a spirit in music, and I want to develop my talent to be able to express the spirit that I feel. I am a total book nerd and will read almost anything. I also love to be outside, especially if there is a soccer ball involved; soccer and running are my two sports of choice and any chance I get I love to be out having fun and staying active.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to be born in this church, and I have a family that is very active in the church. It wasn't for a long time though that I knew that this was the true church; I would go only for my family and because I knew that going to church was expected of me. My senior year of high school I lost family members and many friends either to drinking and driving accidents or suicide. This was a hard thing to justify for me, and I had to ponder deeply on whether or not I believed the teachings that I have learned my whole life. To keep it short, I had to have faith that this is the true church, and this faith has brought such comfort to me through any trial. I love this gospel and I love my Savior - he is a friend and a guidance and I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am one of the pianists in my ward - so every Sunday I will play a few church hymns for one of our meetings. I believe one of the best ways to live my faith is to sustain and support all of those around you. I try to follow the counsel of my church leaders and live a life that tries to emulate the life of the Savior. He lived a perfect life, and I know that I will never be able to be perfect - but I can always work to improve myself and to live my faith wherever I am. My goal is for the light of Christ to be in me, and through me I want others to be able to see Christ.
