Hi I'm Carrie

I am a mum of four. I have been a member all my life. I live in Chelmsford.

About Me

I am a married mum of four young children, two boys and two girls. I currently work from home three days a week for my brother in law. I love my job in that it allows me to help provide for my family and raise my kids at the same time. Life is really busy and I don't have a lot of time for me but when I do I love to read, run, bake and shop (for clothes!!!). I love to ski although time and finances don't allow that very often. Being a mother is one of the best and hardest things I have ever done. Juggling everything that comes with that role can be exhausting and sometimes I wonder how I will get everything done. However, hearing my kids laugh and playing together; seeing their testimonies grow and watching them grow into great young people makes it worth all the effort, heartache and housework !

Why I am a Mormon

One of the main beliefs I have is that families can be together forever. My mum passed away a couple of months after I had my second child and part of why I continue to live the way I do is because I want to be with her again. I was raised as a Mormon and believe that living the gospel has made me into a better person. In turn I want to give my children the same opportunities. Some may say that I live it because I always have and it has become a habit. This may be true in some ways but being a Mormon is not an easy thing sometimes. It is something that I have had to commit to and something that I wouldn't live unless I had gained a testimony for myself.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by just being a good person and hoping that people will see something different in me. I joined the governing body of my son's junior school in October and am still finding my feet but hope that my core values will help me to make a difference there. Every Sunday I teach the 9-10yr olds. We are currently studying the Old Testament and I think they teach me as much as I teach them. I love teaching them even though it can be trying at times but I have a great group of kids.
