Hi I'm Michael Niemann

I live near Washington DC. I love to sing and run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just returned from a mission in Santa Rosa, California. I am at BYU studying Information Systems. I like to dance, sing in the BYU Men's Chorus, play musical instruments and laugh. I hope my testimony will have the ability to impact the souls of the people that I meet. I love singing. Music is so powerful and bears a testimony to all who listen. It can bring the spirit to any occasion and touch a person's heart in such a unique way. I wish that everyone could appreciate the powerful ability that music has.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has been the greatest blessing in my life. The testimony I have developed through my membership in the LDS church has clarified many doubts that most other people have, including my friends. I have no doubt that there is a God, that He loves us, and that there is a living prophet on the earth to guide us. I have come to know God in a way that would otherwise not be possible. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon has given me an eternal perspective in life and provides me with direction in a world where values are constantly changing where the lines between right and wrong are blurred.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is more than striving for a check mark in the box. It's always having a prayer in my heart. It's living in humility so that the Savior can enter into my life. It's doing my best to follow Christ and be a disciple. I am no perfect human being, but I know that Christ loves me more than I can comprehend, and is pleased with me when I strive for my best. When I live by these principles I find that the "check mark items," such as prayer, scripture study, tithing, and church attendance, seem to complete themselves.
